To further encourage the creation of artistic stupidity, Töad Meädow is now hosting monthly art build weekends. The Töads gather, the workshop is opened and we turn materials into art. You’re invited to work on and collaborate with your own personal project, or you can come and help others’ projects.

So we’re partying at the World Maker Faire and Lisa, rolls up. She’s with The Haiku Guys, sits down with a typewriter and busts out 4 personal haikus for us.
It was intimate, magical and accurate, in an astrological sort of way.

Three cheers for the fucking haiku guys!!! They made our first night at the world maker faire as memorable as burning an original copy of the Bill of Rights!

Once upon a time, the land that is now Töad Meädow was ruled by an evil pig king and his degenerate ape henchmen. In the midst of his spiritual quest to reach enlightenment, the Töad King found the meadow, and knew that it must be liberated for the benefit of his spiritual children.
A great war was fought between the Töads and the pig king. Ultimately, the Töads prevailed and Töad Meädow was born.

We all know that the most robots are only interested in destroying civilization and the extermination of the human race. While these goals are laudable, did you know that robots can also be used in making works of art? Even better, this technology is cheap enough to be accessible and it’s easy enough that you can lean the basics with a few hours of study.

So we held a gathering of the Töads and Buffalo burners at the clubhouse in North Buffalo last weekend. This was a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants gathering and we got to meet some really cool mofos and work on some shit. Art was inspired. Plans were laid. No animals were hurt in the course of these activities, despite our best efforts.
In attendance was most of the members of Pyromancy, Buffalo’s best professional fire dancing and performance troupe.
Our Töad recruitment efforts have been underway for a while while we continue to work on exciting projects for the 2015 not-winter season. So now is the time to invite those of you watching from the sidelines to come out so we all get to know each other. Continue reading
